6 Kitchen Design Trends We’re Loving In 2025
Your kitchen is the heart of your home — and for most homeowners, it’s the first space they dream of renovating. Same goes for potential buyers — if the kitchen’s a bust, chances are they’ll walk away without making an offer.
At Revival, we design and build carefully curated kitchens made to last — not just follow a trend. We’re not here for every trend bandwagon. We’ve been keeping an eye on the current styles worth bringing into the most essential space in your home.
Here are a few of our favorite kitchen trends showing up in 2025 — and couple we’re waving farewell to.
What We’re Loving in 2025
1. Wood Is Back
After years of white-on-white everything, we’re seeing a beautiful return to warmth — oak, walnut, and even two-tone cabinetry. Our current favorite pairing: natural white oak with a warm, earthy green.
This style is perfect for homeowners who want to embrace color without going bold, and for those who love the natural charm of wood but want a bit of contrast to make it pop.
Wood cabinetry brings depth and grounding to modern kitchens, especially when paired with clean lines and soft lighting.

2. Slab Backsplash
Adios, 4-inch tiles. Slab backsplashes (running your countertop material vertically up the wall) are taking over — and for good reason. They're sleek, modern, and easy to clean. Bonus: they even make smaller kitchens feel more expansive.
3. Hidden Appliances + Integrated Storage
Built-in fridges, appliance garages, and butler pantries keep kitchens feeling clean and clutter-free.
5. Apron-Front Sinks
We’re absolutely loving the return of the apron-front sink — a classic feature that’s as functional as it is beautiful. With its deep basin and exposed front panel, this style makes a bold visual impact and gives a kitchen a luxurious, high-end feel.
Today’s apron-front sinks go far beyond the traditional white porcelain. We’re seeing fireclay, stainless steel, matte black, and even natural stone finishes, making this style incredibly versatile — it works just as well in a sleek modern kitchen as it does in a cozy cottage-style space.
Our go-to right now? A stone apron-front sink that matches the countertops and backsplash — next-level seamless design.
6. Mixed Metals
Designers are combining brass, matte black, and polished nickel in ways that feel intentional, not chaotic. Mixing metals adds richness — just keep it to 2-3 tones max.

7. Color — in the Right Places
Deep greens, soft mushroom, navy, and even plum are popping up in islands, lowers, and accent cabinets. The all-white kitchen isn’t dead — but it’s definitely evolving.
What We’re Letting Go
1. Ultra-Glossy Finishes
We're favoring satin or matte for a more natural, low-maintenance look — warmer, less fingerprints and easily shown scratches.
2. Open Shelving Overload
Beautiful in photos, but often tough in real life. We’re seeing more clients ask for closed uppers — with maybe one or two open shelves for styling.
3. Overly Stark All-White Kitchens
They still have their place, but many homeowners are craving coziness and contrast.
Bonus: A warm white paired with natural wood? Dreamy.
